About me

I am a curator of language, fighting for the clarity of communication,

and against the tyranny of linguistic mediocrity.

Hi! My name is Tzvetelina Ignatova (or just Lina), and the two core drivers

of my existence are the soul-nurturing thrill of exploration & the comfort

of well-spilled ink.

With curiosity being the backbone of my character, and questioning —

the doorkeeper of my mind, I wander, wonder, and write about various matters.

Because the world excites me, I’m a fascinating blend of a wide variety of interests

and disciplines. My education is a marvelous bag of joy (scroll down to see)

that has given me a unique perspective on the importance of the narrative.

My interests range from extreme sports to arts and culture to sustainability.

All this helps me integrate knowledge, inspiration and methods from

different aspects of life.

I believe in one marriage only — that between style and value.

“Time present and time past
Are both perhaps present in time future
And time future contained in time past.”

― T.S. Eliot, Four Quartets

Fun facts

meters above sea level

I’ve climbed up to that altitude in the Himalayas. So yeah, occasionally I like to have my head up in the clouds… literally.

hours in the making

Too slow for a pro, but quite good for an amateur. It took me so much time to create this website on my own.

meters below sea level

I carry the soul of an explorer. Scratching the surface is not enough for me. I like deep-diving, not only in open waters, but also when it comes to story-telling.

cups of coffee a year

My process is an alchemy of good literacy and caffeine. Espresso. Macchiato. Or a Tzveticchino. The style changes with the occasion.
